Power Source Transfer Switch

Seamless power transfer
Eaton ATS are designed to provide power supply redundancy for single connection equipment. With ATS, power from two independent sources can be supplied to IT equipment, which have only one input power supply.

Redundancy
Only advanced servers are equipped with a dual electrical power supply. The majority of network devices and entry-level servershave a single connection with only one electrical power input.
With the Eaton ATS, critical equipment can be connected to a redundant power supply.
Both sources (primary and secondary) are connected in a straightforward manner to the ATS in the base of the rack.
The Eaton ATS then controls the redundancy of this electrical power supply. If the primary source fails, transfer to the secondary source is automatic and instantaneous.

Simple and cost-effective
Considering the advanced design of the Eaton ATS, these are highly competitive in price compared with the ‘dual power supply’ options available from suppliers of networking equipment. 1U high, the unit can be installed easily within the rack. Metering and basic configuration capabilities are possible through ATS 16’s LCD.

Network connectivity
The ATS 16 Netpack and ATS 30 provide network connectivity.
This allows users to access, configure and manage units from
remote locations.

The Eaton HotSwap Maintenance Bypass enhances availability by providing service continuity in all situations.

Ideal for maintenance and UPS upgrades, the HotSwap MBP facilitates hot-swappable battery replacement from the front panel, with no need to remove the UPS from the rack. Gain ultimate peace of mind that high availability and critical operations will never be compromised during battery replacement or other upgrades. The HotSwap MBP offers 5-15R and 5-20R receptacles.

Features and Benefits

- Enables additional receptacles on the Eaton 5130, 9130, Evolution, Evolution S and EX UPSs for convenient, reliable power distribution
- Eases installation with unparalleled flexibility, including a variety of mounting options: rear panel, top, left or right of the UPS (depending on the model)
- Provides service continuity during battery replacement, UPS maintenance or upgrade
APC Metered Rack PDUs offer resilient power distribution and actively measure, display, and log volts, amps, real power (kW) & energy (kWh). This PDU offers LCD display, real-time remote monitoring and user-defined alarms to help prevent circuit overloads that can cause accidental power loss to critical equipment. Historical reporting enables users to meter customer power usage, optimize energy use as well as plan for capacity . This zeroU PDU can operate at up to 60 degrees Celsius and can be accessed, configured, and managed remotely via EcoStruxure IT, Web, SNMP and Command Line Interface. Power is supplied to the PDU at 220-240 volts via IEC C20 inlet (no cord provided) while power comes out at 100-230 volts through (18) C13 and (2) C19 locking outlets. It integrates with EcoStruxure IT, and daisy-chaining is supported to monitoring up to 4 PDUs from 1 IP address as well as a local USB port for easy local firmware updates As a Green Premium product, this unit comes with a verified product environment profile, including carbon footprint, scope 3 emissions and end of life instructions.
APC Metered Rack Power Distribution Units (PDUs) provide active metering to enable energy optimization and circuit protection. The output and input connections are (36) C13 & (6) C19, and the cable length is 3m. User-defined alarm thresholds mitigate risk with real-time local and remote alerts to warn of potential circuit overloads. Metered Rack PDUs provide power utilization data to allow Data Center Managers to make informed decisions on load balancing and right sizing IT environments to lower total cost of ownership. Metered Rack PDUs include real power monitoring, a temperature/humidity sensor port, locking IEC receptacles, and ultra low profile circuit breakers. Users can access and configure Metered Rack PDUs through secure Web, SNMP, or Telnet Interfaces which are complimented by APC Centralized Management platforms using InfraStruxure Central, Operations, Capacity, and Energy Efficiency.
APC Switched Rack Power Distribution Units (PDUs) enable advanced, user-customizable power control and active monitoring Remote outlet level controls allow power on/off functionality for power recycling to remotely reboot equipment and restrict unauthorized use of individual outlets Power sequencing delays allow users to define the order in which to power up or down attached equipment Avoid circuit overload during power recovery and extend uptime of critical equipment by prioritizing the load shedding Current metering provides real-time remote monitoring of connected loads Switched Rack PDUs include real power monitoring, a temperature/humidity sensor port, locking IEC receptacles, and low profile circuit breakers User-defined alarms warn of potential circuit overloads before critical IT failures occur Users can access, configure, and control Switched Rack PDUs through secure Web, SNMP, or Telnet Interfaces and is complimented by APC Centralized Management platforms using InfraStruxure Central, Capacity Manager and Change Manager
ePDU G3 Switched models allow lights-out control of devices including switching devices powered across multiple ePDUs. They include IEC Class 1 (±1%) billing grade accuracy, an advanced hot-swap meter with LCD pixel display showing V, W, A and kWh, and the ability to daisy chain 8 ePDUs to share the same network connection and IP address.
