The gold security filter is a convenient solution that features a quick shift to a mirror-like effect to protect confidential data from unwanted viewers while maintaining a clear view of 60 degrees (+/- 30 degrees from the center) for the user.
Reversible Filter
The privacy filter's removable and reversible design allows users to effortlessly switch between a glossy gold side for maximum privacy and an anti-glare matte side for environments prone to glare. The matte side provides additional screen protection with a scratch- and fingerprint-resistant coating.
Hassle-free Installation
The universal design won't interfere with top-mounted webcams, sensors, or when closing the lid. The privacy filter can be installed in two different ways. Affix the privacy shield to bezel-less displays using the transparent and residue-free adhesive strips. Alternatively, use the slide mount tabs to install the privacy screen on displays with bezels. The latter is recommended when frequent reversal or removal is required.

To protect your information, tiny vertical blinds on the surface of the privacy screen narrow the viewing angle so data is only visible directly in front of the monitor up to 45 degrees away from the center of the screen. Onlookers will only see a dark unclear screen when attempting to view the information from a side angle. In addition to providing security, the screen also blocks the glare to help reduce eye strain. The Targus Laptop Privacy Screen can be easily attached by using clear adhesive strips designed for LCD filters or with the included tab guides that stick to the edge of the LCD bezel to hold the screen in place. Easy Magnetic Installation
The laptop privacy screen is very easy to install and remove. Simply attach the MacBook privacy filter to your laptop using the built-in magnetic strip at the top of the privacy screen. This magnetic privacy screen is also reversible. The matte side provides you with glare reduction and the glossy side of the privacy screen will provide you with increased clarity. In order to close and put your laptop to sleep the privacy screen must be removed. A protective folder is included so you can protect the privacy screen from damage when not in use. The privacy screen is also extremely easy to clean when removed from your laptop.
