Build and expand your lightning-fast network with Omada Pro S5500-48GP4XF—a fully enterprise-level managed switch with 48× gigabit PoE+ ports and 4× 10G SFP+ ports. Users can supply up to 500 W total power to connected devices and flexibly deploy equipment such as wireless access points or IP cameras without worrying about power outlets. PoE support together with high-performance static routing, enterprise-level QoS, advanced security features and a selection of Layer 2 management options make S5500-48GP4XF a great choice for enterprises, MDUs, hotels, and ISPs.
Layer 2 and Layer 3 features include Proxy ARP, Static Routing, OAM, DDM, sFlow, L2PT, and DLDP to meet the needs of ISP customers, while IP-MAC-Port Binding, VLAN Binding, and Access Control List (ACL) functions protect against broadcast storms, ARP attacks, Denial-of-Service (DoS) attacks, and other threats. Quality of Service (QoS) provides enhanced traffic management capabilities to ensure fast transfers for your important data, even when the network is busy. Integration into the Omada Pro system brings centralized cloud management and a series of management features such as Zero-Touch Provisioning (ZTP) and Intelligent Anomaly Detection. Moreover, easy-to-use web management interfaces, along with CLI, SNMP, RMON, and Dual Image mean faster setup and configuration with less downtime.

Secure Networking
Security features include IP-MAC-Port Binding and VLAN Binding, Port Security, Storm Control, and DHCP Snooping to defend against a range of network threats. An integrated list of common DoS attacks is available, making it easier than ever to prevent them. In addition, the Access Control Lists (ACL, L2 to L4) feature restricts access to sensitive network resources by denying packets based on source and destination MAC address, IP address, TCP/UDP ports, or VLAN ID. Users’ network access can be controlled via 802.1X authentication, which works with a RADIUS/Tacacs+ server to grant access only when valid user credentials are provided.

Abundant L2 and L3 features
S5500-48GP4XF supports a complete lineup of L2 and L3 features, including Proxy ARP, Static Routing, OAM, DDM, sFlow, L2PT, DLDP, 802.1Q VLAN, Port Mirroring, STP/RSTP/MSTP, Link Aggregation Control Protocol, and 802.3x Flow Control. Advanced IGMP Snooping ensures the switch intelligently forwards multicast streams to only the appropriate subscribers, cutting out unnecessary traffic, while IGMP throttling & filtering restrict each subscriber on a port level to prevent unauthorized multicast access. Static Routing, an L2+ feature, is a simple way of segmenting the network and internally routing traffic through the switch for improved efficiency. Ethernet Ring Protection Switching (ERPS) blocks traffic on a single ring link to prevent looping and effectively adds redundancy and up-time protection to any network.
ISP Features
DDM, sFlow, ERPS, L2PT, QinQ, L2PT PPPoE ID Insertion, and IGMP authentication features are provided, developed with service providers in mind. 802.3ah OAM and Device Link Detection Protocol (DLDP) offer easy monitoring and troubleshooting of Ethernet links.
IPv6 Support

Apart from the ability to be centrally managed via Omada Pro controllers, S5500-48GP4XF is also easy to manage via an intuitive web-based Graphical User Interface (GUI) or an industry-standard Command Line Interface (CLI). For both management methods, traffic is protected through SSL or SSH encryption. SNMP (v1/v2c/v3) and RMON support enable the switch to be polled for valuable status information and to send traps for abnormal events.

Building on the success of first-generation Cisco Nexus 9300 platform switches, the latest Cisco Nexus 9300-EX and 9300-FX platforms can collect comprehensive Cisco Tetration Analytics™ telemetry information at line rate across all ports without adding any latency to the packets or negatively affecting switch performance. This telemetry information is exported every 100 milliseconds (ms) by default directly from the switch’s Application‑Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC). This information consists of three types of data: - Flow information: This information contains information about endpoints, protocols, ports, when the flow started, how long the flow was active, etc. - Interpacket variation: This information captures any interpacket variations within the flow. Examples include variation in Time To Live (TTL), IP and TCP flags, payload length, etc. - Context details: Context information is derived outside the packet header, including variation in buffer utilization, packet drops within a flow, association with tunnel endpoints, etc.
The Cisco Tetration Analytics platform consumes this telemetry data, and by using unsupervised machine learning and behavior analysis it can provide outstanding pervasive visibility across everything in your data center in real time. By using algorithmic approaches, the Cisco Tetration Analytics platform provides deep insights into applications and interactions, enabling dramatically simplified operations, a zero-trust model, and migration of applications to any programmable infrastructure.
These Layer 2 and 3 nonblocking switches support 1, 10, 25, 40, 50 and 100 Gigabit Ethernet; Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE)[1]; and 8-, 16-, and 32-Gbps Fibre Channel1 (native Fibre Channel support is available on 9300-FX Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP) models only), with up to 3.6 Terabits per second (Tbps) of internal bandwidth. In addition, the 9300-FX switches support the IEEE 802.1ae MAC Security (MACsec) standard on all downlink and uplink ports, allowing traffic encryption at the physical layer and providing secure server, border leaf, and leaf-to-spine connectivity.
